So it turns out that, with effort and total concentration, I can for brief periods of time put myself in other peoples shoes (some people more easily than others). It’s too bad that it requires too much time and focus to be able to do in an actual face-to-face conversation, where I also have to keep my mind on things like my expression, the other fellow’s expression, body language, etc. Maybe someday.

It should also be noted that all of the empathy in the world does not make bad news less bad. Neither do apologies.

I’ve moved this to my own hosting.  This allows me to have things like a favicon, and play around with themes and code and stuff in my free time.  That is all.

If you do not have the courage to live up to you moral beliefs and do what is right, at least have the decency to not chastise other people for sharing your failings. Woe betide he who criticizes and then imitates, for he is the hypocrite, and, in my erudite opinion, the scum of the earth. I thought I had more to say on this subject, but it appears that I am out of vitriol. That is all.

The icon to save your work is all but universally an image of a 3.5″ floppy disk. In most modern computers, this type of storage has gone the way of the dinosaur, yet the icon persists. What will our children, not to mention our grandchildren, think that that icon represents. Surely they will know that it means ‘save,’ but what will they imagine it is a picture of?

I have no idea.
